The St. Vincent Boy Scouts have become one of the largest
organizations in the Thunderbird district. Through Troop 2, Varsity Team 6402, and the Venturing Crew 2802, the Scouts
register 110 members, with another 85 parents and supporters.
They have many major projects,
including the
Haunted Castle & Black Forest, the Climbing Wall, the annual Boy Scout Popcorn Sale, the Fish Fry, the Annual Chistmas
Tree and Wreath Sale, Breakfast and Lunch with Santa, the Christmas Tree Lights at St. Vincent Church, the Byron Health Center
Christmas Dinner at the Scout lodge, Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Camp, trips to Philmont, camping, caving, canoeing and
many more.
The St. Vincent Scouts are really
proud of all the young men who have achieved their Eagle Scout Award over the years.
The total for Troop 2 since
its founding in 1960 is now
115 Eagle Scouts
about 11%
percent of all Scouts who have been registered with the Troop. We are very proud of all our Eagle Scouts.
