Discover your passions, forge new friendships, and explore the world with Venturing. Whether it's rappelling down a cliff, honing your marksmanship, designing robots, kayaking into the sunset, deepening your faith, or volunteering at an animal shelter – the possibilities are endless! Each activity is a chance to shine and uncover more about yourself and the world around you.
Venturing is driven by youth and inspired by youth. It's an inclusive program offered by Scouting America for males and females aged 14-20 (or 13 and completed 8th grade). Organized into Venturing Crews, these units of youth and advisors meet regularly to plan exciting activities and events tailored for young adults like you.
Through Venturing, you'll:
Engage in a program filled with fun, challenges, and adventure.
Develop skills in specialized areas relevant to your crew's interests.
Serve as a knowledgeable trainer and program facilitator for other youth.
Experience positive leadership under the guidance of adult and youth leaders, with opportunities to lead yourself.
Learn to make ethical decisions based on the principles of the Scout Oath and Law.
Grow in a supportive, caring, and enjoyable environment that encourages personal growth and camaraderie.
Venturing empowers you to acquire life skills and gain valuable experiences that will benefit you wherever your future journey leads. It's about learning, leading, and having a blast along the way!
